Small, Quiet, Perfect Figaro

Newsflash: if you don't know already Hong Kong is one of the most expensive places to live in the world.

So if I'm forever on the lookout for cute, relatively inexpensive places to eat and found one of them last night, Figaro.

It's a small unassuming bistro with perhaps not the most exciting menu. It's traditional, very French but done well. It's not the stuffy cuisine of Escoffier past and it's easy on the stomach and with a fantastic classic wine list.

I think it's one of the few places in Hong Kong, where you can have a great well thought out, well executed tasting menu of 5 dishes (2 appetisers, 1 main entrée, 1 cheese course and dessert) for only $480/person.

It's just across from well-known watering hole La Cabane so very easy to pop over for a drink before going upstairs to eat at Figaro but you can get a chill drink downstairs as well at the restaurant.

The option is up to you and they make it easy ;)

I hope to do a bit more restaurant reviews as I'm always out about town (and the world!) eating. I hope this complements the other wine content here and please let me know your thoughts in the comment below. Thanks!
